Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has recently launched the Exter Hy-CNG Duo, featuring dual-cylinder CNG technology. The brand has now extended this offering to its Hy-CNG Duo technology for its Grand i10 NIOS. Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG Duo has been launched at Rs 7.73 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai has launched the new Hy-CNG Duo in two variants namely Magna & Sportz. These variants come with a 1.2-litre petrol+CNG engine.

Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG Duo
The newly launched Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG versions boast dual-cylinder CNG technology. With the help of dual-cylinders in the boot, the brand has made room for more luggage in the boot adding more convenience for the customers. The company-fitted CNG comes with an advanced ECU which helps in the seamless shift between CNG to petrol and vice versa. Hyundai also offers the Grand i10 NIOS in single CNG cylinder variants, allowing customers to choose between the Hy-CNG and Hy-CNG Duo based on their preferences.
The Grand i10 NIOS comes with many features, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED DRLs with projector headlamps, footwell lighting, rear AC vents, and other features. On the features front, the brand has offered 6-airbags as standard, TPMS, hill assist control, electronic stability control, and rear parking camera with sensors, among other features.

Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG Engine Specs
The Grand i10 NIOS comes with a 1.2-litre petrol+CNG engine producing 69 PS of power and 95.2 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG version comes with a capacity of 60 litre (water equivalent) CNG tank.
Verdict
The dual-cylinder CNG technology was first introduced by Tata Motors and the cars with dual-CNG cylinders have received a good response. In order to become a more worthy rival in the segment, Hyundai has also introduced the dual-cylinder technology. Additionally, Hyundai offers the advantage of allowing customers to choose between dual-cylinder and single-cylinder technology. The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS CNG competes with the Tata Tiago iCNG.
