Kia Carnival is a great car and we say it even before it's launched. Yes, we have driven the MPV and you can check out our review on how the car paces up in the market. While exploring the Carnival on our drive, we noticed some India specific changes that Kia Motors bring to the upcoming premium MPV.
And to continue the same, we tell you a total of five India specific changes the Kia Carnival gets:
Smart Pure Air Purifier
The air quality level has been getting worse across most big cities in India and the capital tops the list in this regard. Like the Seltos which gets an air purifier, the Carnival will also possess one. It will also offer a range of fragrances along with the air purifier.
With the Seltos, Kia claims that the air purifier removes 95% of the pollutants from the cabin. And can be controlled via smartphone also. To ensure the smart working of the air purifier, the ignition of the car has to be turned on. This feature isn't available on the international Carnival.

UVO Connect App
With growing technology, carmakers are ensuring that the customers make the right way to use it. And with the UVO connect which offers 37 connected features just like the Seltos, it is a smart move. These features also support smartphone connectivity. This allows the user to enable some features via their smartphone only, one such example is to control the Smart Air Purifier.
Laptop Charger
In our previous article, we described the five features Kia Carnival receives over the Toyota Innova Crysta. Well, we saved this Laptop Charger feature for this one. Now, this is what you call doing business behind the wheels. The owner can stay connected to their work even on the go without worrying that the laptop battery will be drained. Mind you, not even the premium cars offer this feature. Thumbs up to Kia for offering this feature
BS6 Diesel Engine
With the country moving towards newer emission norms and Kia offering just one engine option, it is safe to say that they will launch the diesel in BS6 form only. The 2.2-litre turbocharged unit produces 200 PS along with a peak torque of 440 Nm. When compared to its much premium option, the Mercedes V Class Elite gets a mere 2.0L diesel engine churning out 168 bhp only.

Suspension altered for Indian roads and gets MRF Tyres
We all have been a witness to cars with low ground clearance having a toll on Indian roads. The Kia Carnival's suspension will be updated for a higher ground clearance when it is launched in the Indian market. Also, on offer will be MRF Tyres mounted on 18-inch alloy wheels standard across all trims.
