Last month, Kia announced the lease plans for its budget offerings in India. The company has released the pricing for leasing its all-new flagship products, the Kia Carnival and EV9. The Kia Carnival can be leased at Rs. 1.50 lakh, while the EV9 lease costs around 3 lakh monthly. Kia Carnival and EV9 Lease Plans: Details
The automaker has announced that people who want to lease the Carnival and EV9 can choose from various tenures- 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. Customers will also have mileage-based lease options - 10,000 km, 15,000 and 20,000 km per annum.
However, after announcing the lease plans for the budget offerings, we expected that the new Carnival would also get such an option. On the other hand, the EV9 leasing option is a new thing as there was no such option with its predecessor.
Kia Carnival and EV9 Specs
The new Kia Carnival sources its power from a 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes 193 PS of power and 441 Nm of torque. The powerhouse on offer is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. On the feature front, the Kia Carnival gets dual 12.3-inch displays - 1 is an infotainment screen and the other is a digital instrument console, an 11-inch heads-up display, 12-way adjustable driver's seats, two single-pane sunroofs and 12-speaker Bose sound system.
The newly launched Kia EV9 is powered by a single 99.8 kWh battery pack which is paired with a dual electric motor, placed on each axle. This setup creates 384 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque and provides a range of 561 km per charge. The E-SUV supports 350 kW DC fast charging that fuels the battery pack from 10-80 per cent in just 24 minutes.
Price Details

Verdict
Kias new Carnival and EV9 lease plans bring premium features but come at high monthly costsRs. 1.50 lakh for the Carnival and Rs. 3 lakh for the EV9. While both models offer advanced tech and solid power, the pricing might limit appeal, catering primarily to those ready to invest significantly in luxury and cutting-edge EV technology.
