Post covid, the automotive scene of India and the world has been on upliftment. The past year 2022 is a testament to it as we witnessed multiple brands making new sales records. However, 2023 is already here and many new products are aligned to get launched. So, we present to you a detailed list of all the top upcoming cars & SUVs that are going to launch in India this year. 1 - Maruti Suzuki
India's best-selling car maker Maruti has aligned new cars for 2023. Maruti made its intentions clear the previous year that it is going to focus on the SUV market. Hence, most of the launches of 2023 from Maruti are either SUVs or big cars. Maruti will be launching the following models in 2023:
- Jimny 5-Door SUV: India launch on 11 January at Auto Expo'23
- Baleno Cross (Flash/Blaze): India launch at the upcoming Auto Expo'23
- Maruti-Toyota Hybrid MPV: Maruti will launch a similar car to the Innova Hycross MPV by mid-2023
2 - Hyundai India
One of the top car manufacturers in India; Hyundai has aligned up to 6 models for 2023. While the majority of these are going to be SUVs, Hyundai will also debut a new sedan. Additionally, Hyundai will launch two premium EVs in India. These launches include the below-mentioned products:
- Creta SUV Facelift: Debut by mid-2023
- Verna Sedan Facelift: Debut in the second half of 2023
- Grand i10 & Aura Sedan Facelift: Debut by late 2023
- Ioniq 5 EV: Price announcement at the upcoming Auto Expo'23
- Kona EV: India debut by mid-2023
3 - Mahindra & Mahindra
Indian manufacturer Mahindra seems to not have many solid plans for 2023. However, Mahindra will be launching its first-ever EV. The Mahindra XUV400 will be launched in early 2023. The upcoming EV is an electric iteration of Tivoli's platform. Meanwhile, its design resembles more or less the same as that of the XUV300. Mahindra has already showcased the car to the media. Additionally, Mahindra will debut two new variants of its Thar SUV. First will be a cheaper RWD version with the 1.5-Lt diesel engine. However, the second variant has been anticipated long time i.e. the 5-Door Thar. Launch dates of both are unknown till now but it is expected that Mahindra will debut both of these by early 2023.
4 - Tata Motors
Tata Motors has done a tremendous job in terms of improvement. From losing the top 10 race to achieving second place in terms of sales; Tata has come a long way. Hence, to keep up with this sales flow; Tata will be launching multiple models in 2023. These models will include new iterations of the current product lineup as well as new launches. The following cars are going to launch in 2023 by Tata:
- Harrier/Safari Facelift: Debut at Indian Auto Expo'23
- Altroz EV & CNG: Debut at Indian Auto Expo'23
- Punch EV & CNG: Debut at Indian Auto Expo'23
- Avinya EV: Debut at Indian Auto Expo'23
- Blackbird EV: Debut at Indian Auto Expo'23
5 - Citroen India
French car maker Citroen has become very serious about the Indian market ever since the launch of the C3 hatchback. Hence, Citroen eC3 EV will launch at the Indian Auto Expo'23. Not only this but Citroen is readying an MPV version of the C3 itself. Suspected to be a long-wheelbase C3, the upcoming MPV will be a 7-seater C3. While the electric C3 is scheduled for an early launch, the MPV version will take its sweet time for testing. We suspect that the C3 MPV will debut in late 2023.
6 - MG India
MG has set up a good name for itself in India. All thanks to its brilliant service support & customer care services. But, MG is not going to relax as it's time to take the business forward. Hence, MG Air is going to debut at the India Auto Expo'23. It will be the first-ever EV from the brand. Not only this but MG Hector's facelift is also scheduled for a launch in January. The new Hector facelift will bring new features like ADAS and more connected tech.
