In the season of price hikes, the list is just getting longer. While the same started back in April 2023, some manufacturers reserved it for a later date. One was Tata and the other, was MG. Now, MG Hector Plus is another addition to the list. With a price hike of up to Rs. 71,0000, the newly revised list is out from May 2023 onwards.

The price hike remains in the range of Rs. 36,000 to a max of Rs, 71,000. After this revision, the price of MG Hector Plus now stands at Rs. 20.51 lakh to Rs. 22.97 lakhs ex-showroom. The on-road price will differ depending on your state.
Powertrain
Mechanically, the MG Hector Plus is the identical twin of its smaller sibling, the MG Hector. It is available in both petrol and diesel options. The 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine offers 143 PS of peak power and maximum torque of 250Nm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual and CVT transmission. On the other hand, the 2.0-liter diesel engine offers 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
VERDICT- Price hikes are not a surprising move. The industry revises its rate list to keep in line with rising costs and inflation. The MG Hector Plus is yet another addition to this list.
