MG Windsor EV Design
The most unique aspect of the Windsor EV is its design. Doesn't it look like its come from the future? With its curved body design, it feels massive and immediately captures your attention. MG says the front brand logo illuminates, and it features connected LED DRLs, with the headlamps situated in the bumper - a very modern design element. Additionally, the 18-inch diamond-cut alloys have a charm of their own, and from every angle, this vehicle looks attractive.
Talking more about its design, take a close look at the A-pillar, which is extremely long, indicating a generous amount of interior space. Additionally, the flush door handles create symmetry with the overall design, enhancing the car's aerodynamics.
Moving to the rear, we are again introduced to the connected LED DRLs, along with plenty of chrome to match the aesthetics. The Windsor adopts a blend of van and crossover design elements, and it gets its name from Windsor Castle in the UK.
Interior
You wont find any other 5-seater vehicle with that much space on offer starting at just Rs 9.99 lakh. The Italian bubble-style seats have been added, and the legroom appears to accommodate three or four infants. Additionally, the use of Knight Black interiors with royal gold accents deserves applause.
Furthermore, MG claims that the rear seats can be reclined to an impressive 135 degrees, which is equivalent to what we see in business class seats on airplanes.
They are calling it Aero-Lounge seats. Additionally, you won't find a panoramic sunroof in the Windsor, but rather an infinite roof, which is also an industry first. The infinite roof provides a clear view of the sky without anyone needing to climb up to see it.
Features
Now this is where the party kicks off. The Windsor EV features a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, roughly the size of a laptop. Its functions go beyond connecting your smartphone or viewing the rear via the 360-degree parking camera. This screen controls drive modes, provides battery charging information, adjusts air conditioning, opens the boot, manages mirror adjustments, and controls ambient lighting.
If you're finding it hard to comprehend, think of all the Tesla car videos youve seen on the Internet. That said, the biggest change Indians will notice is the placement of the gear knob, which is located where we usually find the turn indicators, to the left of the steering wheel. Its also worth mentioning that there are very few switches inside.
For the convenience of customers, MG has added A/C control buttons below the massive screen and steering-mounted controls, but the main tasks are managed through the touchscreen. Another screen inside the Windsor EV is the drivers instrument cluster, which measures 8.8 inches. Yes, it is smaller than the screen in the MG Comet EV as well.
