German Auto giant, BMW is all set to reveal the new-gen M5 in the global market after launching the latest generation 5 series in 2023. The brand has recently given a hint regarding the launch of the new-gen M5 through a social media post. However, the brand has not announced any official launch date for the upcoming sedan. New-Gen BMW M5 Design

The recent teaser released by the brand showcases the upcoming M5 in an all-new avatar. The luxury sedan was under covers, while the brand highlighted the new illuminated grille and LED DRLs of the upcoming M5. The automaker earlier showcased the new gen M5 during its testing stage. Earlier, the BMW also showcased the rear and front design highlights of the upcoming M5 with a sketch. The sketch also hinted that the upcoming M5 will feature horizontal slats in the kidney grille, a prominent diffuser at the rear and more new set of bumpers.

As per a report, the upcoming BMW M5 will come based on the standard wheelbase 5 Series which is on sale in Europe. Some reports mention that the new generation internal combustion 5 Series will be launched in India by July 2024 with a new long-wheelbase model.

BMW M5 Powertrain

The forthcoming M5 will get a strong hybrid setup with a 4.4 litre, turbocharged V8 Petrol engine. This setup will be paired with a similar battery pack and electric motor arrangement as the BMW XM. As for the power output, the same powerhouse generates 640 bhp of power and 738 Nm of torque on the XM. The upcoming M5 will probably get an 8-speed automatic transmission with All Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration.

New-Gen BMW M5 India Debut

As per recent reports, the new-gen BMW M5 will land on Indian shores after its global debut. We can expect its India launch by mid-2025.
