The Kratos (internally codenamed T6X), formerly known as the T4X, started its journey as a humble Yamaha FZ retrofitted with Tork Motors electric kit that produced 30 kW of power and 20Nm of torque. Back then, the motorcycle raced at the 2014 Valley Run where clocked 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 127 kph, and 80 km of range.
After gaining some critical inputs from this project motorcycle, Tork Motors received fundings from Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, and Ankit Bhatia for the development of a street electric motorcycle. This culminated down the T6X, which Tork Motors debuted at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The styling of the T6X might remind you of the first-generation Suzuki Gixxer 150, or even the earlier generation Yamaha FZ. The production-ready Tork T6X aka Kratos will be powered by a Tork LIION lithium-ion battery pack that is attached to an axial flux motor. The specifications are yet to be confirmed, however, Tork Motors claims that it can do more than 100 kms.

Just like most EVs, the Tork Kratos will also feature LED headlights and taillights. It will also feature a full LCD instrument cluster, that will display the real-time power consumption, gathers trip data, etc. Tork Motors also claims that the battery will be larger, but it'll take 1 hour to 80% charge the vehicle.
As stated above, bookings will start from January 26 onwards, and deliveries will commence in March. Once released, the Kratos will compete against ICE engine counterparts like the Yamaha FZS-Fi, or the Suzuki Gixxer. And in the EV segment, competition will come from the Revolt RV400, Hero Electric AE-47, and the Ultraviolette F77.
