Since Skoda got hit in sales in Russia, India emerged as its biggest market after Europe. The Kushaq in the compact SUV and the Skoda Slavia in the sedan segment has propelled the company sales. And just recently, the Skoda Slavia and the Skoda Kushaq have been spotted in a new Lava Blue color tone. The same shade that was exclusively reserved for the premiums from Skoda like the Kodiaq, Superb, And the Octavia.
Let's quickly look at the pictures and get further into the highlights.
Skoda Slavia And Kushaq In Lava Blue Paintjob
The Skoda Slavia and Kushaq both are slated to get this new paint job. These MQB-platform cars have already undergone the BS6 Phase 2 transition which came into effect on 1 April 2023. This new option is an attempt to impart a fresh push to sales.
Currently, the Kushaq is offered in two dual-tone and five single-color options, including Honey Orange, Tornado Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel, and Brilliant Silver. On the other hand, the mid-size sedan, Slavia, is available in five monotones and two dual-tone color schemes.
Spec
Mechanically both vehicles are powered by the BS6 Phase 2-updated 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter petrol engines. As for the transmission, they come equipped with a 6-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Diesel is not an option in any combination of the variant in any of these cars.
VERDICT- These new color options will soon be introduced to the masses as they will prove to be a sales booster for the carmaker. Given the recent pausing of the sales of Octavia and Superb in India, this makes sense to increase its customer base.
