Last Updated on 22nd Jan'25: The 4th generation Skoda Superb made its debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, alongside the upcoming 2nd generation Skoda Kodiaq. This executive sedan is expected to launch in India in mid-2025 or later. Additionally, there is speculation in the market about the return of the diesel engine in this sedan.

Design - The 4th generation Skoda Superb does appear to be an evolved version of the current model. However, the new design loses the sharp lines and angles that once added a touch of sportiness, with the newer model taking on a more elegant appearance. The size of the LED headlights has increased, while the taillights have become slimmer. The sedan’s length is 4912 mm, its wheelbase is 2841 mm, its height is 1481 mm, and its width is 2090 mm. 

Powertrain - At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Superb model on display featured a 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine. However, given the current government push to phase out diesel in the country, we don't expect this powertrain to be launched. That said, the confirmed engine will be the same 2.0L turbocharged petrol, producing 190 PS and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. 

Features - According to international sources, the Skoda Superb will come with a 10-inch infotainment screen as standard, with an option for a larger 13-inch screen. Additionally, it will feature a fully digital 12-inch driver’s display, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features, four-zone climate control, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated seats, and a Bose sound system. 

Rivals & Expected Price - Upon its launch, the main rival of the Skoda Superb will be the Toyota Camry, and we expect its price to range between Rs 45 to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
