Tata Motors unveiled the most powerful Tata Altroz Racer at the Auto Expo 2023 and since then it has remained at the back of the picture. While it has been spotted on a few occasions while testing, no launch update was revealed. Finally, this long-awaited hatchback is ready to roll out to the showrooms and it is expected in the coming weeks. Tata Altroz Racer Launch Soon
In terms of exterior highlights of the Tata Altroz Racer, you get a blacked-out roof for a sportier appeal with white thick strips running over the roof and extending onto the bonnet. Apart from this, you get the same sheet metal as the Tata Altroz. However, you do get a Racer badging at the front along with a slightly tweaked front grille and newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of features, you get a richer feature list. You get a bigger infotainment 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, segment-first ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, and a voice-assisted sunroof are a few of the expected upgrades. These upgrades will gradually make their way to the regular variants of the Altroz. In terms of safety, the Altroz Racer will offer 6 airbags as standard. The upholstery will be a darker black with red accents running across and the same colored elements running around the cabin.

Powertrain: Turbo-Petrol Under The Hood
The ALtroz Racer is aimed at a more driving enthusiast group who wish something more from their regular Altroz. You get a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that puts out 120hp power with a peak torque of 170Nm and will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This is 10hp and 30Nm more than the iTurbo variant of the regular Altroz.
Expect this to finally hit the showroom in the coming weeks where it will lock horns with the likes of the Hyundai i20 N-Line.
