1. All Black Exteriors

Tata has introduced a striking new Carbon Black shade for the Tata Curvv Dark Edition, giving the SUV an even sportier and more premium appearance. Unlike the regular versions that feature chrome highlights, the Dark Edition embraces a nearly all-black finish. You'll spot the dark treatment on elements like the front grille, Tata logo, Curvv badging, and even the beltline, which now wears a dark chrome touch. The metallic highlights are minimal, appearing mainly on the machined sections of the 18-inch alloy wheels. These alloys also feature aero inserts, adding a dynamic flair. While the wheel design stays consistent with the standard model, the blacked-out styling of the Dark Edition makes it stand out even more.
2. Interiors

Inside, the Tata Curvv Dark Edition carries the blacked-out theme seamlessly into the cabin. The interior is draped in black upholstery, complete with DARK branding embossed on the headrests, and even the headliner sticks to the dark finish for a cohesive look. Feature-wise, it mirrors the top-spec Curvv trim, packing in premium equipment like a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-speaker JBL audio setup, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and ventilated seats for the front row. On the safety front, Tata hasn't held back either. The Curvv Dark Edition comes standard with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera system, tyre pressure monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and an advanced Level 2 ADAS suite, and more
3. Powertrain Retained

The Tata Curvv Dark Edition skips the entry-level engine and is offered exclusively with the more powerful 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel options. The TGDi petrol engine delivers 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque, while the diesel motor produces 118 PS and a strong 260 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox, giving buyers flexibility. While the standard Curvv range also includes a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit that makes 120 PS and 170 Nm, this is not available on the Dark Edition.

4. Variants And Pricing
The Tata Curvv Dark Edition pricing starts at Rs 16.49 lakhs ex-showroom and goes all the way up to Rs 19.52 lakhs for the ICE model and is based on the Accomplished trim. As for the Curvv EV Dark, it comes in a single Empowered trim at Rs 22.24 lakhs ex-showroom.
Verdict
Tata's typical Dark Edition comes to the Curvv siblings as well and while it might not be to everyone's taste, those who like it, have nothing to fiddle with aftermarket fittings. As for the model itself, it is a bold move offering a form factor that doesn't have too many rivals in the segment. Though it can polarise a few on its looks where some might prefer a more conventional car and other things around, it is a well-rounded car.
