Among these manufacturers, Tata Motors has announced a price hike for its entire lineup beginning on 1 January. Tata Motors Price Hike
Tata Motors India is all set to increase the price of its entire lineup by 3%. The exact price increase will vary depending on the model and variant of the car. Moreover, the brand has attributed the increasing material cost and inflation as the reason for the upcoming price hike. The brand's lineup starts with the Tiago which starts at Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) and the flagship model of the lineup is the Safari which starts at Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Additionally, the rumour mills suggests that Tata Motors is planning to roll out the BaaS (Battery As A Service) option for the Tata Nexon. With the BaaS option the carmaker will be able to offer the Nexon EV at an affordable price point, and the customers can choose the subscription for battery based on their usage. The brand may launch the BaaS option for its other EVs as well to make them more affordable and to compete better in the EV market.
In other news, Tata Motors will be participating in the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and we can expect to see the producing ready Harrier EV & Sierra EV at the upcoming motor show.

The upcoming year will be a bummer for the potential car buyers as almost every mass market or premium carmaker has announced a price hike effective from 1 January 2025.
