Tata Tiago EV: Feature List Gets Longer
The equipment list of Tata Tiago EV just got an upgrade silently with the addition of 2 new features. You now get an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror along with a new 45W USB-C charging port at the front. These updates are however limited to the higher trims with the USB-C port present on both XZ+ Tech Lux and the XZ+ Long Range variants, the auto-dimming IRVM is limited to the XZ+ Tech Lux trim.
Before this update, the Tiago EV offered a decent set of tech on board with features like a 7-inch infotainment screen, cooled glovebox, digital instrument console, connected tech, automatic climate control, cruise control, 8-speaker sound system, push-button start/stop, and more. In terms of safety, it gets dual front airbags, ABD with EBD, TPMS, a rear parking camera with dynamic guidelines, and more.

Battery And Range
The electric hatch comes in 4 trims: XE, XT, XZ Plus, and XZ Plus Tech with options for both medium and long-range capabilities. Medion range variants come fitted with a 19.2 kWh battery while long-range models boast a larger 24 kWh battery, The claimed range is 250 km and 315 km respectively. The price of Tata Tiago EV starts at Rs. 799 lakhs ex-showroom.
It continues to rival the likes of MG Comet EV, Citroen eC3, and other small electric hatchbacks in the segment.
Verdict
Tata is emerging as a key layer in the Indian EV segemnt scene. With its comprehensive portfolio, it now spans the sedan, hatchback, and the SUV segment with their electric vehicles. While latest launched have a much higher tech quotient, Tata is making sure to regularly update the previously existing line-up to take on the continuosly evolving market demands.
