The Tata Tiago, launched in 2016, has reached a sales figure of 5,96,661 units, and by the time the next month's sales report becomes public, it will cross the 6 lakh sales milestone, according to SIAM data. The Tiago is Tata's entry-level vehicle and is a versatile model, available with ICE, CNG, and EV powertrains.

Tata Tiago
On average, 4,500 units of the Tata Tiago are sold every month, and the Tiago accounts for around 40% of Tata's total car sales. Its golden period was in FY2019, when 92,369 units were sold in a year. The following year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, it still managed to achieve over 49,000 sales. Talking about its price, it starts at Rs 5 lakh and the top model costs Rs 8.75 lakh. In between there are 20 models. It is powered by 1.2L Revotron engine, that makes 86 PS and 113 Nm, and there are two gearbox on offer, 5MT and 5 AMT. Also, there is CNG kit with twin-cyclinder engine which is also available with AMT.
Features include rain-sensing wipers, an infotainment screen, a digital driver's display, steering-mounted audio controls, a height-adjustable driver seat, auto-fold ORVMs, and a rear parking camera with ORVMs.

The Tiago is an adorable-looking small car that has an Italian flair to it, despite being designed by Pratap Bose, an Indian designer. In the past 8 years, the Tiago has proven to be a reliable, low-maintenance, and mileage-friendly vehicle. It is a fantastic choice for first-time car buyers and for those who need a second car for daily errands.
