In February 2024, Porsche unveiled the Taycan facelift to the world. Now, the brand has officially launched the model in India with a starting price of Rs 1.89 crore. The announcement came after Porsche updated its official site with the revised pricing for this 4-door electric sports sedan. Currently, there are only two trims available, and there is a significant difference between the two options.

Porsche Taycan 4S II
The entry-level Taycan 4S II packs more power than many top vehicles from various manufacturers. It features a dual motor that generates 462 PS and 695 Nm of torque. The model offers an electric range of approximately 544 km, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, and boasts a top speed of 250 km/h. Additionally, its air suspension provides a ground clearance of up to 127 mm, typical for a sports sedan.
The Taycan 4S II also offers another option: the Performance Battery Plus pack, equipped with a 380 kW battery that delivers 517 PS and 710 Nm of torque. Additionally, this variant boasts an extended range of 625 km. The 4S II starts at Rs 1,89,42,000, and the power figures mentioned are sourced from the international market site, pending updates on the Indian site.
Porsche Taycan Turbo II
The Turbo II is priced at Rs 2.52 crore and packs 707 PS along with 890 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a lightning quick 2.7 seconds and reaches 0 to 200 km/h in 8.2 seconds. This means it only takes about 6 seconds to cover the next 100 km/h. Additionally, the Turbo II boasts a combined range of 626 km.
One important detail to note is that these performance figures are achieved specifically when the car is in launch control mode. Internationally, the Taycan lineup includes 7 models, with the fastest being the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package.
It boasts impressive performance figures: 1034 PS and 1240 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 305 km/h. There is no news about this model coming to India anytime soon, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed.
