Unlike the Tata Tiago, where Tata Motors has launched a separate CNG model, offering a wider range of variants, Hyundai does not have a dedicated CNG model for the Grand i10 Nios. Instead, Hyundai integrates the CNG powertrain option within its existing petrol variants.

The Tata Tiago CNG features a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 2.5-inch driver display, 8 speakers, automatic air conditioning, keyless entry, a cooled glove box, rain-sensing wipers, and electrically adjustable ORVMs, among other amenities.
In comparison, the Hyundai Nios CNG comes with an 8-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 3.5-inch driver display, a wireless charger, keyless entry, automatic air conditioning, and a rear AC vent, along with additional features.
Both models share several common safety features, including ABS with EBD, TPMS, speed-sensing auto door lock, rear parking sensors, a rear camera with dynamic guidelines, 3-point seat belts for all seats, and central locking.
However, the Nios CNG offers some exclusive features such as 6 airbags (compared to the Tiago's dual airbags), a speed alert system, ESC, VSM, HAC, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. On the other hand, the Tiago CNG includes unique features like a single advanced ECU, automatic switching from CNG to petrol mode in case of low CNG, leak detection, and thermal incident protection.

Verdict
Given the demand for small urban cars and improving EV infrastructure, there is good scope for new models under the Rs 10 lakh bracket. The Leapmotor T03 might not be the most striking EV, but it ticks all the right boxes as a solution for urban mobility.
