In mid-2021, Yamaha Motor India launched Aerox 155, a 'moto-scooter' that combines traits of a motorcycle with a maxi-scooter. The Aerox shares its engine with the R15 and rivals the Aprilia SR 160. Barely months after its introduction, the Aerox has received its first-ever price hike. The two-wheeler has become dearer by INR 2,000 and now costs Rs 1.31 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the metallic black, racing blue and grey vermillion colour options whereas the Monster Energy edition is now priced at Rs 1,31,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Yamaha Aerox 155 impresses with high performance. It is powered by a 155 cc liquid-cooled four-stroke SOHC four-valve engine that is capable of churning out 15PS of maximum power and 13.9 Nm of peak torque. For a better ride experience, the company offers a wide, 140-section rear tyre with a unit swingarm at the rear and telescopic forks at the front. It also gets large 14-inch alloy wheels.

Moreover, the scooter even comes equipped with LED taillights, LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime Running Lights and a fly-screen.
Among the most attractive feature seen on this scooter is its digital instrument cluster that also provides Bluetooth connectivity through the Yamaha Y-Connect app. Using this, one can access various information like fuel consumption tracker, maintenance recommendations, last parked location, and a few other details about the scooter on his or her smartphone. One can toggle between the information on the 5.8-inch screen using the switches present on the handlebar. The screen also displays call/sms alert, along with connection status and mobile battery status
Yamaha also equips the Aerox 155 with efficient features like a Smart Motor Generator for quieter engine starts, and a Stop & Start system to aid better fuel efficiency.
