Yamaha Cygnus GT

Last Updated On 12th Jul'22: The Cygnus GT was updated earlier in May for the international market. A recent addition to the list is the 2022 Yamaha Cygnus GT Deluxe Edition, which has made some admirable upgrades to the scooter. The Yamaha RayZR 125 and Fascino 125 scooters have the same platform as the Cygnus scooter.

Engine

The engine and specifications are mostly the same because it is based on the widely used 125cc arrangement of the RayZR and Fascino. The 125cc air-cooled engine has adequate vigor for city driving. It has an 8 bhp of power and 9.7 Nm peak torque output. While these numbers may not appear exciting on paper, riding a scooter on a Cygnus is enjoyable because of its small weight.

Design And Features

A blacked-out footboard and panels, matte-black alloy wheels, GT decals, and LED headlights are all added to the Cygnus GT. Comparing the Deluxe model to the standard Cygnus scooter reveals significant design differences. The new frontal design, which has been improved to offer good riding comfort, is where the modifications can be seen. The rider's triangle has been updated, and the new broad, flat seat offers extra room for both the rider and the pillion. In terms of features, it has an LCD digital instrument panel, twin-LED DRLs, a 12V charging port, and an anti-theft lock, among others. Buyers also get the dual-channel ABS, and front disc brake for enhanced safety over the road.

Price And Launch

The brand has not yet disclosed its plans for the India launch. However, the scooter's projected price range in India is between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
