Honda Stylo 160 Latest Update
Last Updated On 24th June: Design: Positioned as a neo-retro scooter in terms of its styling, the Honda Stylo 160 looks nothing like the current Honda scooters in India. The Stylo 160 has a curvaceous look for the front apron and side body panels, with the handlebar-mounted LED headlamp having chrome surrounds and hexagonal housing with round edges. The side body panels also have satin chrome touches, with the Stylo 160 having a large single-piece alloy grab handle at the back. Another interesting element of the Honda Stylo 160 is its colour-coded rearview mirrors. The Stylo 160 has been launched with attractive colour options and black and brown themes for alloy wheels, floorboards, and seats.
Features: As a new-age scooter, the Honda Stylo 160 gets an LED headlamp and tail lamp. The scooter also gets front apron-mounted LED turn indicators with daytime running LEDs. The Stylo 160 also features a fully digital instrument console, alloy levers, and a USB charging socket. In terms of safety, Honda offers the Stylo with both CBS and ABS options, with the front wheel having a disc brake as standard.
Engine and transmission: The Honda Stylo 160 sources its power from a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 160cc engine with a CVT, which also powers a few other global scooters from Honda, like the PCX 160 and ADV 160. This engine produces a maximum power output of 16 bhp and a maximum torque output of 15 Nm, making it one of the most powerful engines for Honda’s scooter lineup.
Launch Time:For now, Honda has only patented the design of the Stylo 160 in India. While this can indicate that Honda will launch the Stylo 160 in India shortly, it can also be just another patent filing by Honda in India, as it has done for many of its global models in India, which haven’t been launched here yet.
Rivals:As a 160cc neo-retro scooter, the Honda Stylo 160 seems to be a direct competitor to the Vespa VXL 150 and Vespa SXL 150. It can also compete with sportier 160cc scooters like the Aprilia SR 160, Aprilia SXR 160, and Yamaha Aerox 155 in India.
Price:Honda hasn’t confirmed that the Stylo 160 will be launched in India. However, if it does come to India, expect the Stylo 160 to sit at the top of Honda’s scooter lineup in India, with prices ranging between Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh.
