Yes, Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Compared to 4-cylinder engines, 3-cylinder units aren't as refined but Mahindra has done a good job with controlling the NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) on Bolero Neo. Also, three-cylinder engines tend to have peppier low-end performance than 4-cylinder engines. Overall, the Bolero Neo is a decent performer and shouldn't be ignored because of the 3-cylinder layout.
