The Citroen C3 is a hatchback that was launched in India in 2022 at an introductory price of Rs 5.71 lakh. Two years later, the C3 finds itself struggling to gain trust among Indian buyers, although auto experts praise its suspension, comfort, and peppy engine options. It competes with the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, and Maruti Ignis. Since the Ignis has almost faded from the scene, the C3 is occasionally spotted in metro cities, indicating that some people are showing interest in this vehicle.
So, if youre interested in this French vehicle, Im going to share information about the variants it offers. Without further ado, lets get started. But before we do, make sure to join the 91Wheels WhatsApp Channel to never miss out on automotive updates.

Citroen C3 Engine Options
The C3 is available with two petrol engines, both of which are 3-cylinder units. One is naturally aspirated, while the other is turbocharged. There are also two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual. Recently, Citroen launched their coupe SUV, the Basalt, which also uses the same set of engines as the C3, but also offers a 6-speed torque converter AT. According to several media reports, these Citroen powertrains are outstanding in terms of performance, refinement, and efficiency.

Verdict
The Citro뮠C3 may be short on features, but from a mechanical point of view, it's manufactured with top-notch engineering and is built to last. The ride quality is excellent, and the steering wheel has an appropriate amount of weight. To put it simply, the C3 is a no-nonsense car that will be appreciated by people who love simple vehicles. Kudos to the company for not labeling it a micro-SUV or subcompact SUV and simply calling it a hatchback.
