1. Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof
One of the most sought-after features amongst new-age buyers is the sunroof and while the Kia Syros does offer a sunroof, it goes a step ahead and offers a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that adds character to the cabin and also adds in that extra natural lighting to the cabin. This comes even more handy on those winter days when you want to soak in the sunlight and its warmth while on the move.
Competitors With Same Features: While the Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with a panoramic sunroof, Kylaq and the Venue offer a single pane unit.
2. ADAS
The Syros adds another feature that is firstly for safety and then another one is for bragging rights among the buyers that like to flaunt the 'Tesla-ish' self-driving features (not exactly self-driving!). The Syros comes with Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous driving assistive features including adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, leading vehicle departure warning, lane keep assist, and much more.
Competitors With Same Features: Hyundai Venue comes with a level 1 ADAS suit whereas the Maruti Brezza and Skoda Kylaq miss out on this one.
3. Front & Rear Ventilated Seats
Another comfort feature that the Syros gets are the ventilated seats, but wait, there's more. While generally, it is the front row that gets seat ventilation, this compact SUV gets second-row seat ventilation as well, which is a first in-segment addition. This feature is a testament to the fact that the brand is trying to make a distinction between the product line-up where the Syros will offer something different than what both Sonet and Seltos offer.
Competitors With Same Features: Skoda Kylaq offers seat ventilation but only for the front row passengers but the Hyundai Venue misses out on this one.
4. 30 Trinity Panoramic Display Panel
Another highlight of the Syros has to be, what the brand likes to call, the 30 Trinity Panoramic Display Panel that houses two displays, each of 12.3" for digital cluster and the infotainment screen with a 5" touchscreen sandwiched between them for the climate control system. This setup looks like a continuous panel feels neat and gives a seamless look to the dashboard.
Competitors With Same Features: None of the competitors offer a continuous panel like this.

5. 6 Airbags
What was once an almost a government mandate, is now increasingly becoming a conscious step by various carmakers. Yes, I'm talking about the 6 airbags as standard which like many other models across segments, come as standard with the Kia Syros. Not just this, it gets plenty of other TPMS, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, and much more to make up to a total of 20 features.
Competitors With Same Features: Hyundai Venue and Skoda Kylaq come with 6 airbags as standard across all variants whereas the Maruti Brezza misses out on this essential feature.
Verdict
The Syros is an addition to the SUV space that will make you think over your choice if you are going for a compact or mid-size SUV. It sits in a sweet spot where it enjoys a unique placement as well as proximity to two very very hot segment currently in the Indian car scene. However, we have to give it some time to settle in and then figure out if it gets the mass approval.
