Christened as the Multi-Terrain Tech, the Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with a mechanical lock differential that is exclusive to this SUV in the segment. A mechanical locking differential can join the two wheels on an axle when necessary. Inside the differential housing, a series of gears and clutches work together to engage this lock. When the system senses that one wheel is spinning faster than the othercommon in slippery or uneven terrainit activates the locking mechanism. This ensures both wheels rotate at the same speed, enhancing traction and stability by distributing power equally. This capability is particularly beneficial for navigating through challenging conditions such as mud, snow, or rough terrain, making the Bolero Neo more adept at handling off-road adventures.

Competition Check- No other SUV in its class comes with a mechanical lock differential or a rear-wheel drivetrain, and this gives the Bolero Neo a major leap ahead of its competition in on-road performance. However, the Grand Vitara comes with an AWD variant, but in select variants only.
