Mahindra January 2022 discounts and offers - Bolero Neo

The Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with a sole 1.5L mHawk100 diesel engine with a rear wheel drivetrain that puts out 100PS power at 3750 rpm and a peak torque of 260 Nm at 2250 rpm. Interestingly, it also comes with a mechanical lock differential that is unique to the Bolero Neo in its price segment. Also, this is the only SUV in its class with a RWD setup as well. It comes mated to a sole 5-speed manual gearbox and there's no option for an automatic gearbox.

Now let's look at what each variant has to offer.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Cockpit

N8 (Over N6)

Rs. 10.64 lakhs (+Rs. 60,000 over N4)

The N8 Variant adds certain features like a music system, fabric seat upholstery, remote key entry, and a few more. This makes sense if you can stretch your budget a little more to have a basic set of functional features to make your drives a little more convenient.

  • Wheel arch classing
  • Dual tone ORVMs
  • Signature wheel caps
  • Side footstep
  • Piano black center console
  • Colour accent on AC vent
  • Anti-glare IRVM
  • Steering wheel garnish
  • Fabric seat upholstery
  • Foldable 2nd Row Seat

N10 & N10(O) (Over N8)

Rs. 12.15 lakhs (+Rs. 1.5 lakhs over N8)

The N10 and the N10(O) serve as the top-spec versions and are fully loaded when it comes to the tech on board. While the highlight of N10(O) is the swanky alloy wheels, both variants offer a rear spoiler, a touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and much more.

  • Signature grill with chrome inserts
  • Static bending headlamps
  • DRL in headlamps
  • Front fog lamps
  • Sporty alloy wheels (Only with N10 O)
  • Rear spoiler
  • Deep silver X type spare wheel cover
  • Height-adjustable driver seat
  • Front armrests for driver & co-driver
  • Armrest in 2nd row
  • Roof lamp - middle row
  • 17.2 cm infotainment touchscreen
  • Cruise Control
  • Electrically adjustable ORVMs
  • Delayed power window (all four windows)
  • Magic lamp
  • Follow me home headlamp
  • ISOFIX mounts for child seats (2nd row)

Variant Recommendation- According to me, the top-spec trim is the one that makes the most sense as the Bolero Neo is already short on features. The top-spec trim adds a normal and functional tech boost to the otherwise lack-luster cabin. However, if you are a little tight on budget, you should still skip the base variant and at least go for the N8 trim for a basic set of features to live with.

Verdict

The Bolero Neo isn't your regular compact sub 4 meter SUV and has a unique postiioning. It goes a mile extra on the mechanicals and its off-road prowess rather than filling up the cabin with features. Although it gets a pratical daily life usage feature list, the customer base for the SUV focuses more on its mechanics and the authoritative road appeal.
