Top Features
Maruti Grand Vitara - Zeta (O)

In Zeta (O), all the basic set of features are covered, which we expect from a modern SUV, such as LED light setup, alloy wheels, electronically foldable ORVMs, and rear washer with wiper. A special feature which makes it a desirable variant is the option to choose a dual-tone shade in selected colours, and a rear door sunshade. Talking about the interior, ambient lights at spot door are there, cabin lamp is also LED, 7-inch MID, and panoramic sunroof is available. Moreover, front seats have ventilation function, and AC comes with auto purify with PM2.5 display.

Moreover, the infotainment screen is 9 inches, which comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and 4 speakers with 2 tweeters make musical sessions unforgettable via the premium sound system by Clarion. Also, if you opt for the automatic gearbox variant, then paddle shifters are added too.

Now, the saftey quotient of this SUV has rise, as 6-airbags, TPMS, ESP, rear parking sensors, and hill hold assist are standard on all variants. Now, let's talk about Hyundai Creta.
Hyundai Creta SX
Hyundai Creta, apart from its nameplate, and bold looks, is also known for top notch features, and SX is the 7th variant in the lineup, so there are lot of comfort and convenience features. To begin with exterior, it also get full LED setup, featuring quad beam headlamps, with LED light bar, which looks so stylish and elevates the premium quotient of Creta. To add more, this same setup is visible at rear with body colour spoiler, that completes the look of this car.

Unlike Grand Vitara, which features painted alloy wheels, here in SX, Hyundai adds 17 diamond cut alloy wheels. Now, onto the interior, where things get really exciting - first of all its semi-leatherette, with leather stiched flat bottomed steering wheel. To add more, here to Hyundai adds panaromic sunroof which is voice enabled. Talking about AC controls, it isn't just regualar ac but dual zone climate control, which is not there in Grand Vitara.

The Creta SX features a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, though the MID remains a regular-sized unit. It comes with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, but they are not from any premium brand - instead, they're Hyundai's in-house setup. One key highlight to note is the lack of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Instead, it offers only wired connectivity due to the presence of Hyundai's Bluelink Connected Car Technology. This system supports Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for maps and infotainment, along with Home-to-Car (H2C) features via Alexa integration.

Last thing to talk about is saftey features - the Creata also has 6-airbags as standard, all four disc brakes, hill hold assist, TPMS, seat belt pretensioners - driver & passenger, speed sensing auto door lock, ESC, Vehicle stability management, and ABS with EBD as standard. Other saftey features include driver power window with auto up down & safety, rear parking sensors with parking camera.

Grand Vitara 1.5L engine is smooth, refined, and fuel-efficient. Achieving fuel efficiency of 13 to 14 kmpl in the city and over 18 kmpl on the highway is a normal thing for this SUV. However, in terms of performance, it falls short when compared to the Creta petrol engine. Hyundai 1.5L naturally aspirated has a lot of grunt - it can easily do 0 to 100 km/h in less than 12 seconds, and even in 6th gear, it picks up easily from speeds like 50 kmph. However, the downside of it is mileage, which even at best doesn't exceed 15 to 16 kmpl. So, both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Verdict
So, clearly, Hyundai Creta has more features to offer and justifies its asking price. On the other hand, you won't get the AT gearbox with it, as for that, one has to move upwards to the higher-priced SX Tech trim. So, if you are someone who wants premium features, then Creta should be on your radar, but don't expect great fuel efficiency. Now, the Grand Vitara is also loaded, and with this update, many issues with it have been solved, as so many safety features have been added. That said, if you want a cheap-to-maintain SUV with great mileage and modern features, you can consider this newly launched Zeta (O) variant.
