  • Comes with both a 1.5L NA petrol and 1.3L turbo petrol mill
  • Rivals Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate,Kia Seltos, and others

Ventilated Seats

Sharp Pro Onwards- Rs.14.76 Lakhs

From the Sharp Pro variant onwards, priced at Rs. 14.76 lakhs ex-showroom, the MG Astor comes with ventilated seat functionality. This ventilation option is very well-suited for the scorching Indian summers where even after clocking the AC to its lowest temperature, out back gets all drenched. This is one of those features that you will find yourself using on a daily basis.

Competition Check- Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and others, all offer ventilated seat options. The Honda Elevate does not offer any factory-fitted ventilation system but provides ventilated seats with a massage function as an add-on accessory price at Rs. 6,000 for individual seats.

2. Level-2 ADAS

Savvy Pro - Rs. 16.95 Lakhs

Found only in its top-spec Savvy Pro variant, the Astor gets an advanced driver's assistance system for safer road travel. The Level-2 ADAS offers features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision prevention, lane function, speed limit, speed assist system, rear-drive assist, intelligent headlamp control, and much more. The total ADAS features add up to 14 in number, making it a strong contender in the space.

Competition Check- Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos offer ADAS in their higher trims. The Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq miss out on any of the assistive systems.

3. Fully Digital Instrument Cluster

Select Variant Onwards- Rs. 13.11 Lakhs

Taking the duties of the conventional cluster is a fully digital 7-inch LCD instrument cluster that displays essential drive-related stats and a lot more info that the driver needs to be aware of. This fully digital unit is available from the Select mid-trim onwards, which is a good thing for buyers who want to buy a lower trim with more features.

Competition Check- All the rivals of MG Astor come with a fully digital instrument cluster, except for the Honda Elevate which still uses analog dials for the speedometer and the tachometer.

4. Panoramic Sunroof

Select Variant Onwards- Rs. 13.11 Lakhs

Another feather in the cap of the mid-spec Select trim is the ever-popular, panoramic sunroof. India has a craze for sunroofs and there is nothing better than a bigger panoramic unit. Interestingly, more and more, even with the lower segments, a sunroof is getting the way to increase any model's mass appeal.

Competition Check- While the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder offer a panoramic sunroof, Elevate, Taigun, and Kushaq continue with a single-pane electric sunroof.

5. Digital Bluetooth Key

Select Variant Onwards- Rs. 13.11 Lakhs

MG Astor happens to be the only SUV in the space to offer a Digital Ket with sharing functionality. Basically, you can configure your smartphone to be the digital key for your Astor, making a physical key redundant. You can also share the digital key with your near and dear ones for added flexibility. Pretty Cool, Right!

Competition Check- MG Astor wears the badge of being the only SUV to offer this feature. No other rival offers a digital key in the segment.

Verdict

MG Astor is one of the most tech laden car in it segment and even cross segments within the same price bracket. With its top-spec varinat, you will not miss out on any modern feature that the current buying population demands. However, if you want a diesel mill, the Astor cannot be your choice as there is no oil burner option.
