Suzuki Gixxer Key Features
155cc Engine
The Suzuki Gixxer is a modest motorcycle, as its engine displacement is actually larger than its claimed size, but it is still labeled as 150cc, unlike many other automakers. That said, the 155cc engine is impressive, producing 13.6 PS and 13.8 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed transmission. The Gixxer excels in city rides because most of its torque is available in the mid-range RPMs, which is crucial for overtaking.
On the highway, the rider can comfortably cruise at 80 to 90 km/h, but beyond that, it will struggle and vibrations may become an issue. Regarding mileage, it offers 64 kmpl according to ARAI, but owners report around 50 to 55 kmpl.
LED Lights
Both the front and rear lights on the Suzuki Gixxer are LED, and they look fantastic when the sun goes down. There are no DRLs, and the turn indicators are halogen. This update was introduced in 2020 when the Suzuki Gixxer transitioned to BS6 compliance. However, many owners have reported that the light throw is not sufficient for riding on completely dark roads, so they have to visit the aftermarket to upgrade it.
Single Channel ABS
The front wheel features ABS, while the rear wheel only has disc brakes. A big positive aspect of this bike is its braking bite, which quickly reduces speed even on difficult terrain. Besides increasing the rider's confidence, these brakes are powerful enough to mitigate the chances of an emergency.
Digital Instrument Cluster
The digital speedometer is not very large, but it does offer Bluetooth connectivity and features such as turn-by-turn navigation, SMS alerts, call notifications, and call rejections. Additionally, it displays bike data like range, trip meter, average fuel consumption, side stand indicator, and engine check lights. If the screen were a bit better, the overall experience would be greatly improved.
Dual Barrel Exhaust with Chrome tip
The exhaust on this 150cc bike is dual-barrel and sounds aggressive every time you rev it hard. Additionally, it looks extremely cool, and people who dont know much about bikes might mistake it for a hardcore racing bike. The chrome tip adds a shiny touch that complements the overall design of the Gixxer.

Verdict
The Suzuki Gixxer 150 is a stylish-looking naked street sports bike that excels in design, with a quite aggressive seating position. However, it is not popular enough to be the top choice among riders, as the competition has stepped up, with Bajaj leading this segment. Unfortunately, the Gixxer 150 does not score exceptionally in any departmentbe it acceleration, technology, looks, or handling. Additionally, its overall personality is somewhat weaker, and Suzuki needs to focus more on attracting new customers.
