The Tata Nexon EV (45 kWh) is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 17.15 lakh, while the Mahindra XUV400 EV (39.5 kWh) starts at Rs 17.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 17.69 lakh. The Nexon EV offers a wider variety of options with its Creative, Fearless, Empowered, and Empowered Plus variants, along with the Red Dark Edition, which is based on the Empowered Plus model. On the other hand, the XUV400 39.4 kWh comes in two variants: Pro ST and Pro DT.

Theres a noticeable price gap between the base models of both cars  the Nexon EV Creative and the XUV400 Pro ST, with the Nexon being Rs 2.50 lakh cheaper. At the top end, the difference between the Nexon Empowered Plus and the XUV400 Pro DT is Rs 70,000, but if you compare the Red Dark Edition with the Pro DT, its just Rs 50,000. Overall, the Tata Nexon EV remains the more affordable and budget-friendly option compared to the Mahindra.

When comparing the battery capacities and output of the XUV 400 and the Nexon EV, things get interesting. The XUV 400 has a smaller 39.5 kWh battery, while the Nexon EV comes with a larger 45 kWh one. Yet, despite this difference, the XUV 400 holds its own quite well.
