Today, Tata Nexon EV recieved a new 45 kWh battery pack which starts at Rs 13.99 lakh ex-showroom. Now, this isn't the same battery pack found in Tata Curvv EV standard battery pack model as Tata says they have used Prismatic Cells which has a class leading desnity of 186 wh/lit an overall 15% improved desnity.
To add more, it charges faster and provides a full range of 489 Km and C75 Range of 350 to 370 km. On the other hand, the Curvv EV range is 430 km as per MIDC Part 1 + Part 2 test. Price Comparsion Between Tata Nexon EV and Tata Curvv EV
The Tata Nexon EV with a 45 kWh battery pack starts at Rs 13.99 lakh for the Creative Persona variant and goes up to Rs 16.99 lakh for the Empowered Plus variant. In contrast, the Tata Curvv EV with a 45 kWh battery pack starts at Rs 17.49 lakh for the Creative Persona variant. In total, there are seven trims, with the top being, Empowered + A, featuring a 55 kWh battery pack, costing Rs 21.99 lakh ex-showroom. Clearly, there is a Rs 3.50 lakh difference between the starting variants of these two vehicles, both equipped with 45 kWh battery packs.

Battery Range And Charging Time - Tata Nexon EV vs Tata Curvv EV
The Tata Nexon EV with a 45 kWh battery pack has a claimed range of 489 km, based on MIDC Part 1 and Part 2 test guidelines. Tata's own C75 range test indicates that this battery can deliver 350 to 370 km in real-world conditions. With the new cells, the charging speed has improved; now, using a 60 kW charger, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes. Additionally, Tata claims that 130 km of range is available with just 15 minutes of plug-in.
This motor produces 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 150 km/h
Talking about the Curvv EV, this motor also produces 110 PS and 215 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds. In terms of charging, when plugged into a regular charger, it takes 17.5 hours to charge. However, with a DC fast charger, the time drops to just 40 minutes, the same as the Nexon EV. Additionally, with an AC fast charger, the Curvv EV can go from 10% to 100% in 6.5 hours.
Now, the range as per MIDC Part 1 + Part 2 test of Tata Curvv EV with a 45 kWh battery pack is 430 km. The C75 range is around 330 to 350 km.
Features Comparison
The biggest new change that the Nexon features is the addition of a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, which was not available in earlier models. Additionally, an electric tailgate has been introduced with the 45 kWh battery pack, which was previously unavailable.
To add more, V2L/V2V technology, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, JBL Cinematic sound system (4 Speakers + 4 Tweeters + 1 Subwoofer), Arcade.ev App suite, frunk for additional storage, 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, front parking sensors, and wireless charging are other features to name a few.
In the Tata Curvv EV, everything mentiond for the Nexon is there, but only at the top trims which cost upwards to Rs 20 lakh. Plus, in the Creative base trim, Tata has given 17.78 cm Touchscreen Infotainment, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, no panaromic sunroof, nor ventilated seats. Verdict
It's clear that the Tata Nexon EV's latest battery pack is more efficient than that of the larger Curvv EV. With the Nexon, you not only get more range but also many more features, as the price of the top variant is still Rs 1 lakh cheaper than that of the Curvv EV. However, you do miss out on larger boot space, a more spacious cabin, and the overall experience of driving a larger SUV. Where Nexon offers only 350 L of boot space and a smaller wheelbase of 2498 mm.
