Tata Motors has finally launched the updated Punch or the Punch facelift in India. The new facelifted Punch is priced higher than the outgoing model and it now starts at Rs. 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom). During the launch, the company mentioned that customers can get benefits of up to Rs. 18,000 on the Tata Punch. Tata Punch Old Vs New: Design
On the design front, the Tata Punch facelift is identical to the outgoing model. It continues with the muscular and SUVish design language. The new Tata Punch get the same projector headlamp setup with LED DRLs and LED tail lights. Coming to the side profile, it features the same 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails and black cladding. Inside the cabin, the dashboard layout and all other elements such as the body-coloured air vents, leather steering and gear knob remain the same as the outgoing model. All in all, there is no change in the new Punch in terms of design.
Tata Punch Old Vs New: Features
The feature department is where the real change has come. The Tata Punch facelift now comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (new addition). Additionally, you get an automatic headlamp, rear AC vents, semi-digital instrument cluster, Auto AC and a cooled glovebox. Notably, the new feature additions such as a bigger touchscreen infotainment system position Tata Punch as one of the most value-for-money cars in the segment.
Tata Punch Old Vs New: Engine
The new Tata Punch continues to come with a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that generates 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. For transmission duties, you get a five-speed manual or 5-speed AMT unit. Also, there's a CNG iteration of the Punch that puts out 73 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque.
New Tata Punch Price
The new Tata Punch is now available in four major trims which include Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. The base variant is priced at Rs. 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom) and prices go up to Rs. 10.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
