2020 Hyundai Verna is sold in five variants and that are E, S, S+, SX and SX(O). Both E and S variants belong to the petrol motor while S+ limits to the oil burner only. SX and SX(O) both stick with the 1.5L petrol, 1.5L diesel and 1.0L turbo petrol.

As you can see from the table above, the variant wise price list has just gone up by Rs 9,000 only. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor makes about 113 bhp with a peak torque of 144 Nm of peak torque. The engine gets mated to a 6-speed manual or an optional CVT gearbox.

The most powerful lot is the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine which makes as much as 118 bhp with a peak torque of 172 Nm. This motor is only available with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

As you can see from the table above, except for SX(O) AT, every variant receives the same Rs 9,000 price hike as the petrol model. This one, however, gets a hike of Rs 18,000 which is the highest in the lot.

Sharing details on the powertrain of the Hyundai Verna then it gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor. This one makes 113 bhp with a peak torque of 250 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual as standard or an optional 6-speed torque converter unit.
The prices of Hyundai Verna starts from Rs 9.03 lakh and goes up till Rs 15.19 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It competes with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Honda City. The Verna is one of the sporty-looking C-Segment sedans right now.
