The new Aprilia SXR 160, as well as the upcoming Aprilia SXR 125 BS6, are completely identical in terms of appearance. Both these maxi-scooters are very handsome and they look stunning. The SXR 160 and the SXR 125 gets large twin LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a small blacked-out windscreen, LED turn-indicators and a LED tail lamp. These maxi-scooters sport minor fairing and chunky body panels which make them look quite large and lend a great road presence. The new SXR 160/125 are available in four colour variants. They are Matt Blue, Matt Black, Glossy Red and Glossy White.

Aprilia SXR 160 vs SXR 125 - Engine and Transmission
The Aprilia SXR 160 is powered by a BS6 compliant 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve, four-stroke, SOHC, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 11 PS of power at 7100 RPM and 11 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a CVT. The upcoming Aprilia SXR 125 will be powered by a BS6 compliant 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out 9.9 PS of power at 7700 RPM and 9.7 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The engine will come mated to a CVT.
Aprilia SXR 160 vs SXR 125 - Hardware and Features
Both these maxi-scooters are completely identical in terms of hardware and features too. They are based on a tubular chassis with an open single cradle frame. They ride on fat 12-inch tubeless tyres (120/70-12). Now, for braking duties, at the front, they get a large 220 mm disc brake and at the rear, they get a 140 mm drum unit. The Aprilia SXR 160 gets a single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) while the SXR 125 gets a combi brake system (CBS). In terms of features, they get a large 5.7-inch all-digital instrument cluster that displays a ton of information including speedometer, average fuel economy, clock, etc. and they get an optional smartphone connectivity feature too.
