1. Engine Now OBD-2B Compliant

The 2025 Honda Dio 125 gets a mild power bump and now meets the latest OBD-2B emission standards. Its 123.92cc air-cooled engine makes 8.3PS and 10.5Nm, slightly more than the previous version. One useful addition is the engine idle start-stop system, which helps improve fuel efficiency, especially during stop-and-go city riding.

2. New 4.2-inch TFT Screen & More Features

The 2025 iteration of the Dio 125 gets a significant tech boost with a new 4.2-inch TFT display offering real-time readouts like fuel efficiency, trip info, and range. It now supports the Honda RoadSync app, giving riders access to call alerts, messages, and navigation on the go. Convenience features such as a Smart Key system, USB Type-C charging port, and engine start/stop function add to its premium appeal, making the scooter more user-friendly and connected.

3. Refreshed Colour Options

The Honda Dio 125 now comes in a total of 5 colour shade options namely- Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Sports Yellow, Pearl Igneous Black, and Imperial Red. This is a cut down from the previous eight options to choose from.

4. Styling Retained

While the Honda Dio 125 has retained its sheet metal styling, it now comes with a fresh graphics play. And this only makes sense as the Dio 125 is a pretty sharp looking scooter that is appealing to the eyes, and if it ain't broken, why fix it. Right? I personally appreciate its sharp tail-section and the overall rear section of the scooter.

5. Price And Rivals

The Dio 125 is offered in two variantsDLX priced at Rs. 96,749 and the top-spec H-Smart at Rs. 1,02,144 (both ex-showroom). With these updates and tech enhancements, it goes up against rivals like the Yamaha RayZR 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and other premium 125cc scooters in the market.

Verdict

The updates are mandatory where the manufacturers are complying with the latest emission norms, but the Dio has stepped up its game with some interesting new features and the fresh graphics all the while retaining its sharp design. While the oBD-2B norms are now in effect, the brand is making sure to provide timely updates to keep its market appeal.
