2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT

Kawasaki has rolled out the 2025 Ninja 650 KRT Edition in India at Rs. 7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), costing Rs. 17,000 more than the standard model. This special edition brings a racing-inspired flair with its Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) livery, featuring a distinctive black, white, and yellow tri-tone scheme that sets it apart visually. While mechanically unchanged, the updated graphics give the bike a sportier, track-ready look for enthusiasts who want their Ninja to stand out.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition retains the same sharp and sporty design as the standard model, including its aggressive twin LED headlamps. Built on a trellis frame, it features 41 mm telescopic forks up front and a rear monoshock for balanced handling. Braking duties are handled by dual 300 mm petal discs with dual-piston calipers at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear, ensuring solid stopping power. The setup blends everyday rideability with track-ready confidence.
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition comes packed with modern tech and rider aids. It features full LED lighting and a 4.3-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth support for smartphone connectivity, including call and message alerts. Rider safety is enhanced with dual-channel ABS and a traction control system offering two modes, one for sporty riding and the other for improved grip in wet conditions. A slip and assist clutch is also standard, easing gear shifts and reducing wheel hop under aggressive downshifts.

Engine Details
Mechanically, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition stays true to its roots, continuing with the same 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. It delivers 68PS at 8,000 rpm and 64Nm at 6,400 rpm. This engine is well-regarded for its smooth, linear power delivery, excellent refinement, and proven reliability, making it a strong choice for both everyday commuting and weekend rides. No mechanical updates have been made in this KRT Edition, with the changes being purely cosmetic and feature-based.
Verdict
Kawasaki Ninja 650 is a legacy name that continues to attract enthusiasts looking for a sporty perfomance with equally sharper looks, especially with the iconic green paintjob. The KRT ediiton does not meddles with the trusted mechanics of the bike, but rather makes a feature and cosmetic play, which is a pretty good move to keep the freshness alive. But this comes with a slight price bump, something that is not very significant considering the price of over Rs 7 lakh mark.
