2025 Honda Dio 125 Variants

The Dio 125 can be had in two different variants; the base DLX is priced at Rs 96,749, while the H-Smart variant can be yours from Rs 1.02 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). In terms of design, there is not much that differentiates the 2025 Dio from its predecessor. In fact, the Dio 125 continues to bear resemblance to the original Dio 110 with its familiar face, while the body panels and rear section will remind you of the Grazia, which it replaced in 2023. In order to emphasise its sporty intentions, the Dio 125 gets blacked-out treatment on certain elements.

Both variants benefit from the addition of the 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster with automatic brighness adjustability and dark mode, but there are a few differences. The base DLX variant comes equipped with an eco indicator, real-time and average fuel efficiency readouts, distance-to-empty and the usual basic readouts. Other features include alloy rims, a USB charging port, a start-stop system, an external fuel filler, a front cubbyhole, and a silent-starter system among other things.

The range-topping H-Smart System gains everything from the base DLX variant, and further adds on the Honda RoadSync connectivity suite, which enables access to turn-by-turn navigation, calls/SMS alerts, music streaming, message-answer back, and weather reports. Additionally, it also comes with a keyless system with remote vehicle lock/unlock, a vehicle finder, and smart start among other things.

Under the skin, however, both variants are identical. The Dio 125 is powered by a 123.92cc, air-cooled engine producing 8.1bhp and 10.4Nm of torque. The frame is suspended on telescopic forks and a 3-step adjustable monoshock, and both variants make use of a front disc and a rear drum to come to a halt. The Dio 125 also comes with a basic 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear tyre setup.
Verdict
The Dio 125 is for someone who wants the reliability of a Honda and a relatively easy-going scooter that isn't too committed to enthusiasm. However, even with the added features, the high price tag is difficult to justify, especially with rivals like the Xoom 125 and the Ntorq breathing down its neck.
