2022 Ducati Panigale V4 & the Panigale V4 S2 have been launched in India. The updated bike gets new styling as well as mechanical updates.
Ducati India is updating its product lineup in India with MY22 make models. The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 super sports bike has been launched in India. Along with it, Ducati has also launched its flagship model i.e. the Panigale V4 SP2. The starting price of the new Panigale is Rs 26.49 lakh. Meanwhile, the top-end SP2 costs Rs 40.99 lakh pan India.
2022 Panigale V4 Details
The Panigale range has been an utter favorite among enthusiasts since its launch. The newest update has made the super sport bike even more desirable. Cosmetically, it now gets revised front fascia. However, it might look similar to the old bike but it has got changed its design. The winglets at the front are now shorter and thinner. Additionally, as per the claims of Ducati, these winglets now deliver up to 37 kg of downforce at 300 kmph.
Ducati Panigale is now available in three different variants. The first is the standard V4 is priced at Rs 26.49 lakh. The second variant is the V4 S which gets additional tech and features. It is priced at Rs 31.99 lakh. The third is the V4 SP2; which is also a carbon copy of a factory racing bike from Ducati. The SP2 is priced at an eye-watering Rs 40.99 lakh. All of the above prices are ex-showroom, India.
Ducati is also equipping the SP2 in its winter test livery. Additional to the cosmetic changes, the SP2 gets an aluminum steering wheel system with a unique bike name and number. Also, each individual SP2 gets dedicated material-made V4 SP2 lettering and a unique manufacturer number. Ducat has used a lot of weight-saving techniques on this new SP2. For example, the use of Marchesini forged aluminum wheels, STM-EVO SBK nine-disc dry clutch, carbon fiber wings, heel guards, and front fender leads to a humongous weight saving.
Engine & Specifications
Ducati's engine and its engineering have been a testament to the superbike world. The same testament can be seen on the new Panigale range. The bike comes with a 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale engine. This unit makes a peak power of 212.5 bhp and 123.6 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper-assist clutch helps deliver the power. Ducati also offers 4 power modes on it - Full, High, Medium, & Low.
In terms of features, it has a Bosch cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, power launch, bi-directional quick shifter, and auto tyre calibration. Additionally, Ducati has equipped it with fully adjustable 43mm SHOWA BPF front forks and a fully-adjustable Sachs rear monoshock.
The S & the SP2 variants come with Ohlins fully-adjustable electronic suspension units. For braking, dual 330mm front discs with Brembo calipers and a single 245mm disc rotor with Brembo caliper have been fitted. Steel braided brake lines are also offered for effective braking.
The main rivals of Panigale in India are - Honda CBR1000RR-R & BMW S1000 RR M-Sport.
