Tata Motors is on a roll, adding new features and versions to its lineup. The Altroz automatic with dual-clutch automatic transmission was just introduced by the manufacturer. A fully camouflaged 2022 Tata Tigor EV test mule has been spotted testing on the road. Tata is preparing to release the Nexon EV, which will have a longer range and a larger battery, as well as an improved Tigor EV.
Changes Expected
The test mule seen was completely camouflaged, which could mean that the EV will have some design tweaks. The battery pack, similar to the Nexon EV, will most likely be the biggest change. Increasing the power density of cells and increasing the depth of discharge are two further ways to improve the range. The Nexon EV, which will be introduced soon, will get a 10 kWh capacity upgrade, bringing its overall capacity to around 40 kWh. This should give you at least 400 kilometres of range.

The current Tigor EV has a 26-kWh battery pack, and if Tata Motors raises the number of cells in the vehicle, the battery capacity will increase by 4-10 kWh, depending on the cells.
Enhanced Range
The EV's current version generates 74 horsepower and 170 Nm of peak torque, and it has a range of 306 kilometres on a single charge. If the battery pack is upgraded, the EV's range will undoubtedly be extended. It is possible that Tata Motors intends to increase the range from 375 to 400 kilometres. Additional mechanical changes, such as new shocks and dampers to match the increased weight, may result in a slight loss in ground clearance.
More Features
Based on consumer feedback, the Tata Tigor EV may receive some extra features with this update. This could also feature a high-capacity charger. It could include stronger brakes, although that is only speculation at this moment.
Launch Timeline
The 2022 Nexon EV is expected to debut on April 6, while the 2022 Tata Tigor EV with increased range is expected to debut a few months after the Nexon EV.
