New upcoming Hyundai Verna has been spied on winter test internationally. Read all the details.
2023 Hyundai Verna is in the makes and proving this is the new spy shots of Hyundai's mid-size sedan which has been spotted on winter testing internationally.
Mid-size sedan segment is up for a fresh upgrade. With Skoda Slavia standing on the edge of launch and Volkswagen working on the Slavia identical Virtus; Hyundai is also pitching their development of new Verna.
Expected to come sometime around 2023, the Hyundai Verna facelift test mule was spied on a winter test internationally. Called 'Accent' in some global markets, these spy shots have given us a hint about the refreshed Verna.
Although heavily camouflaged, the test mule has certainly grabbed attention worldwide. The photos help us understand that the new Verna is being designed around its elder sibling i.e. the Elantra sedan. What is visible in the photos is the thick C-pillar, wrap-around LED taillamps resembling Elantra, an angular boot design at the rear profile.
Upfront, the new Verna shall use a large front grille embedded along with the subtle upsweeping beltline design. Angular front bumper design holds the housing for low-slung headlamps which shall be full LEDs as seen on the newer Hyundai cars.
The test mule is also seen fitted with new alloy wheel design but we can not be sure of these as this is an international test model car. The Indian variant of the new Verna shall be a little different in terms of specs in order to accommodate the Indian road conditions and customer requirements.
Technically, 2023 Hyundai Verna shall remain similar to the current model. This equates to us that the new car shall continue using the 1.5-Lt naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-Lt turbo-diesel and 1.0-Lt turbo-petrol engine options shall find their way underneath the bonnet of the new upcoming car.
