KTM's upcoming gen of Duke 390 is nearing its launch. The 2023 KTM Duke 390 has already been spied on tests in India. However, all of the test bike images until now were camouflaged. New Duke 390 - What All Will Change?
- New design along with sharp plastic panels and fuel tank extensions
- New steel trellis and aluminum subframe

- New off-set rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustment

These are the first-ever detailed closeup shots of the new-gen Duke 390. As expected, the bike has been revised extensively. It is now more aggressive and sharp looking. There are new sharp and elongated fuel tank extensions. Similarly, the front is now more mean-looking due to a new LED headlight and a new LED DRL design. Also, the alloy wheels design and the braking seem similar to the current RC 390.
It seems that KTM has also revised the subframe and the steel trellis chassis of it. Because the rider sitting looks more comfortable when compared to the current model. Additionally, the rider triangle has also been reworked for more ease of riding. An off-set rear monoshock and the diagonal swingarm are surely going to offer better rideability. The front USD forks as well as the rear monoshock; will be adjustable.
In addition to these, we also suspect that it'll get a new TFT screen. This screen shall offer a better UI experience with more connected features. As online rumors suggest, it is expected to get tech aids like 2 riding modes, cornering ABS, & a new traction control system as well. Apart from this, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation shall be offered as standard.
Will It Get A More Powerful Engine?
The current model comes with a 373cc single-cylinder engine. This unit makes 42.9 bhp of peak power & 37 Nm of peak torque. The new bike will not have a different engine because the current one already feels adequately powerful. However, there is the possibility that KTM shall make it more user-friendly. Hence, a revised ECU setting and a new gear ratio setting can be expected on the new bike.
In addition to this, the spy shots show that it'll get a new engine casing. This can possibly mean better heat dissipation. Also, the exhaust system has been revised again and the end can have undergone the body once again.
Verdict - India Launch, Price, & Rivals
The upcoming Duke 390 has already been spied on in India repeatedly. Also, the painted production-ready bike was also spied on recently. Now, these latest photos indicate that the bike is ready to be launched. We expect that KTM India will introduce it in the coming weeks, maybe by June'23. Due to new design, more features, & new mechanicals; its pricing will surely take a hike. We're expecting that it'll be priced well above Rs 3.25 lakhs. Its main rivals in India are BMW G 310 R & the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler.
