The world has entered a new year with lots of hope & vision for new bikes. Multiple manufacturers have been eyeing 2023 to debut their new products; especially bike companies. Hence, we present to you the 2023 top 5 upcoming bike launches with their details. Read more on these bikes below.
1 - Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650
The most exciting and anticipated bike launch of 2023 is the Super Meteor 650. Based on the Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 twins, the Super Meteor is a big cruiser bike. However, RE has used the Meteor 350 layout for its big cruiser bike. The Super Meteor is going to be the flagship bike from RE. At 241 kg, Super Meteor will become the heaviest bike from the brand. Meanwhile, it will use the same 650cc parallel-twin engine as its siblings. While this engine will make the same power & torque figures; its ECU & gearbox will be remapped to adjust with the additional weight. RE has already showcased the bike at Rider Mania 2022 & it is suspected to launch by early 2023. Its expected price is Rs 3.5 lakh.
2 - Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
Another bike in this list is again from RE itself. The success of Himalayan ADV has pushed RE to make a new more powerful & more capable Himalayan 450. The upcoming ADV has already been teased by Mr. Sid Lal on his official social media account. As seen in the post, the bike is being tested at high-altitude terrain in extreme off-road conditions. As suspected, the 450 will feature a bigger engine that will make peak power in the range of 40 bhp.
3 - Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler
Bajaj & Triumph joint venture has been working on a new performance bike. The test mules of this upcoming scrambler (suspected) have already been spied on in India. Additionally, this bike will be focused on young buyers who want performance & features. Meanwhile, the design of it will be a roadster sort of. As seen in the global and domestic spy shots, the roadster will be offered in various variants. In fact, it is suspected to be offered with a road-based version as well as an off-road-focused version. Engine-wise, the online reports are suggesting that it will come with a 350-400cc capacity. Its suspected price range is Rs 2.5-3 lakh. Our sources suggest that this scrambler will debut in India by late 2023. Its prime rivals will be the 2023 KTM Duke 390 & Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
4 - KTM Duke 390
Austrian bike manufacturer KTM is also going to debut its new Duke 390 in 2023. The bike is already doing its final rounds of road testing in India. Spied multiple times, the new Duke will get a refreshed design & feature updates. In fact, the majority of its design will remain more or less the same but it will get updates from the new RC 390. Additionally, the 372cc engine is also suspected to get tweaks to it. Also, the new Duke will get USD front suspension & an off-set rear monoshock. The swingarm is also suspected of undergoing changes to make the bike lighter. Meanwhile, the feature list of it will also be updated with new connected tech. We suspect that KTM will launch the new Duke by March'23. Additionally, it will undergo a minor price hike of a few thousand.
5 - Hero Xpulse 450 ADV
Last but not the least, Hero is also going to introduce a bigger Xpulse in 2023. Hero has already been testing a big engine Xpulse at high altitudes in India. However, there are very less details available to us about its specifications. Meanwhile, the spied-on bike has shown to us that it will get an all-new chassis, new engine, latest features like riding modes, & even connected tech. Additionally, we at 91Wheels suspect that this new engine will make peak power in the likes of 35-40 bhp. Hero is also developing a new Xtreme 400S which will use the same platform as the new Xpulse. However, the Xtreme will be a road-focused sports bike. Hero Motocorp might debut both of these models at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo'23.
Verdict
2023 is going to be an exciting year ahead with multiple bikes aligned to debut. Additionally, new manufacturers are also expected to enter the two-wheeler market in India. However, the majority of the new manufacturers shall focus on the EV market.
