MG Motors India is coming strongly in the booming electric four-wheeler space in the country, and the booking for two of its upcoming models is now underway. The MG M9 MPV and the MG Cyberster roadster EVs are all set for deliveries next month in April, and it will expand MG's portfolio in the country and interested buyers can book these models at a token of Rs. 51,000 via brand's official website. MG M9 MPV

The MG M9 electric MPV, equipped with a 90kWh battery, offers a 430km range and delivers 241bhp and 350Nm of torque to its front wheels. Available in Cardiff Black, Luminous White, and Mystic Grey, the M9, in its global form, comes in three variants and is a stylish take on an MPV. Its features include electric sliding rear doors, a powered tailgate, heated and memory-equipped ORVMs, climate control, an air purifier, ventilated and massaging power-adjustable seats, privacy glass, a 12-speaker sound system, and 64-color ambient lighting. Furthermore, it incorporates an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), featuring a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking. It is expected to be priced close to Rs. 1 crore ex-showroom.
MG Cyberster

The MG Cyberster, an electric roadster, houses a 77kWh battery, delivering 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, and aims for a 580 km range. Its design emphasizes aerodynamics and sportiness, highlighted by electric scissor doors, streamlined LED headlights, sleek body lines, 20-inch alloy wheels, and distinctive arrow-shaped LED taillights. Inside, the Cyberster provides a luxurious experience, featuring high-quality materials, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 4-screen display setup, a premium sound system, power-adjustable seats, and much more. While it operates at a premium price point, it is available only in its top-spec GT variant. As for its pricing, it is expected to be available at around Rs. 75-85 lakhs ex-showroom.

MG is gearing up to set-up its premium electric range in the country and the models seem to hit the sweet spot where it can offer some serious competition to the rivals. While the Cyberster operates in a niche segment, the M9 MPV, if priced right, could be the breakthrough for MG in the preium class in the country. As for the mass premium, the Windsor EV is doing pretty well already.
