Italian two-wheeler manufacturer - Aprilia is planning to launch multiple new motorcycles and scooters in India in the coming months. Just a few months ago, the company launched the all-new Aprilia SXR 160 BS6 in the country. The SXR 160 was the first maxi-scooter from Aprilia in the Indian market and now the company will soon launch the SXR 125 too. The price of the new Aprilia SXR 125 BS6 has already leaked on the internet and here we have for you all the details about it.
So, according to a media report, the price of the new Aprilia SXR 125 BS6 has been set at Rs. 1.16 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The on-road price of the gearless scooter is somewhere around Rs. 1.31 lakhs. Just like the SXR 160, the price of the new Aprilia SXR 125 is also on the premium side and it will appeal to a niche audience. If we believe this leaked price of the Aprilia SXR 125 to be true, so it costs around Rs. 38,000 more than the TVS NTorq 125 and nearly Rs. 27,000 more than its arch-rival - Suzuki Burgman Street 125.

Now, if we talk about the looks of the Aprilia SXR 125, so it looks completely identical to the Aprilia SXR 160. It shares most of its cycle parts and design elements with the SXR 160. Also, just like the SXR 160, the new Aprilia SXR 125 will be available in four colour variants. They are Matt Blue, Matt Black, Glossy Red and Glossy White. The maxi-scooter gets a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear and there is CBS too. For suspension duties, it gets telescopic front forks and an adjustable spring-loaded mono-shock absorber at the rear.
The new Aprilia SXR 125 will share its mechanicals with the SR 125 and the Storme 125. It will be powered by a BS6 compliant 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 9.9 PS of power at 7700 RPM and 9.7 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a CVT. What are your thoughts on its leaked pricing?
