Ather Rizta Pros
A Quirky Design Mated With Vibrant Colours
The Ather Rizta comes with a quirky design language which makes it look different from the Ather 450X lineup. Ather has given the scooter a more conventional design instead of a sharp sporty design as the 450 series. The Rizta features a sleek LED headlamp at front a long seat with rather plain side panels and a sleek wraparound LED tail lamp at the rear. The build quality of the scooter is on point and you won't find any inconsistency in panels. The scooter comes with 3 monotone and 4 dual tone colour options.
Spacious & Practical
Scooters are known for their practicality and the Ather Rizta makes sure you get all the practicality you need with a family scooter. It offers a long seat which can easily accommodate two adults with some space left for luggage. The under-seat storage is biggest in the segment with 34-litres of storage space, customers can also opt for a storage organiser for the under-seat space which makes the space more utilitarian. Also, it comes with a 22-litre frunk as an accessory which makes it more practical for carrying your stuff.
Loaded With Convenience & Safety Features
The Rizta comes with a 7-inch TFT display which offers a plethora of information. For convenience of the rider it comes with a simplified UI which shows WhatsApp messages, call alert, Google Maps, among other features. It also gets Magic Twist like the 450 series which offers more convenience to the rider. For the safety of the rider the brand has fitted some good and useful safety features such as the Skid Control which prevents the scooter from slipping at low traction surfaces, emergency braking signal, fallsafe, live location sharing among others.
Two Battery Pack Options With Up To 159 Km Of Range
Ather offers the Rizta with two battery pack options a 2.9 kWh and a 3.7 kWh. The 2.9 kWh battery pack gives a range of 123 km on a single charge and the 3.7 kWh variant offers a claimed range of 159 km. Both the variants offer a top speed of 80 km/h.

Ather Rizta Cons
Pricing
The pricing of the Ather Rizta electric scooter is bit on the higher side. It is available in three variants and two battery pack options, the base variant Rizta S comes with a 2.9 kWh battery pack at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The mid variant the Rizta Z with 2.9 kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top of the line Rizta Z with 3.7 kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
Some Features Are Available With The Pro Kit Only
Features such as Magic Twist, Skid Control, live location sharing, SmartEco Mode, Ather Connect features and some others are available with the Pro Pack only which ranges from Rs 13,000 to Rs 20,000 based on the variant you are choosing.
Instrument Cluster Is Bit Laggy
The Rizta does not get a touchscreen instrument cluster as the 450 series, it gets a 7-inch TFT display with a joystick controller. Although the UI and screen colors are good, there is sometimes a delay in operation, which takes away the seamless experience. The controller occasionally lags when toggling through different menus.
SmartEco Mode Offers Low Performance
As the name suggests, the SmartEco mode is designed to enhance the scooter's range. However, while in SmartEco mode, the scooter experiences reduced power and delayed response, sometimes even slowing down unintentionally when you pull the throttle, which can be risky. Additionally, the SmartEco mode is only available with the Pro pack.

Verdict
Ather Rizta comes with a lot of plus points but there are some negatives as well. The space on the scooter is good, the features are good and the added safety features are a boon for day to day runs. It fits all the check points which a family scooter needs but the pricing and availability of Ather's network is something which might deter customers. Ather needs to improve their sales and service network in the country specially in North India to capture more customers.
