Bajaj Chetak Price Hike
The recent price hike is due to the government's dropped subsidies offered under the new FAME II programme. The Chetak was previously given a subsidy of Rs 43,500, but that amount has now been lowered to Rs 22,500. The subsidy is now available at a rate of Rs 10,000 per kWh rather than the prior rate of Rs 15,000 per kWh due to an updated law that caps incentives at 15% of the vehicle's ex-factory cost.
Customers can choose from 4 distinct colours for the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter, which are available in the Premium model. This scooter has a 2.88 kWh battery pack and a top speed of 63 km/h, giving it a range of 90 kilometres. It takes roughly 4 hours to fully charge the Chetak. In terms of functionality, it has an all-color LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, OTA updates, geo-fencing, and other features that readily display vehicle information. A two-toned seat, body-colored rearview mirrors, and a satin black grab rail are additional features of the premium model.
