Fourth Generation BMW X3 Design

All New Interior

The newest generation of X3 from photos appears like a baby XM-the flagship BMW SUV, and the shark like LED matrix headlights are striking that they capture your attention even from a distance. Also, the dimensions have changed and it has become 34 mm longer and 24 mm wider, yet 25 mm shorter than the previous generation.

The rear end might disappoint enthusiasts, as the new set of tail lights is very different from what we have seen on the current generation. Additionally, the overall design has become slimmer, which appears unique.

Talking about the interior, it feels like a subdued version of the latest BMW car interiors, featuring hidden AC vents, a crystal finish on the dashboard, and the BMW Curved Display.

BMW X3 Engines

Biggest difference in the newer X3 would be that the petrol models won't use the 'i' suffix, because the company is reserving it for only the electric car variants. To add more, the BMW X3 petrol engine will be of 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 208hp and 330 Nm of torque. Plus, an 8-speed automatic transmission will be there, and as per the previous press release, it will do the 0 to 100 km run in 8 seconds.

The second is the 2.0 litre diesal engine, also known as xDrive 20d. It was 197hp and 400Nm of peak torque, plus it an highly efficient engine, which gives a average of 16 to 17 km per litre.

Upon launch, this SUV will compete head to head with Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and the Volvo XC60.
