Back in 2021, the French automaker Citroen launched its facelift C5 Aircross in India. The SUV has been available in the international market for a longer time and the company has now launched a facelift version of the car. The facelift C5 Aircross has been revealed in the international markets wherein the SUV gets a new updated front fascia. This model will eventually make it to India as well.
Citroen has not changed the overall design and looks of the C5. However, the company has given the SUV a more conventional design of the front fascia. The updated version now gets new single piece headlights integrated with dual Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), newly designed front bumper and grille.
Just like before, the additional air intake slots on the front bumper are still there on the edges and the air-dam at the center is now narrower than before. The updated bumper of the SUV will also help in improving the aerodynamics of the car. On the side, the SUV looks exactly the same as before, only the alloy-wheel design has been changed. Looking at the rear profile of the car, it now features a set of new rectangular shaped LED tail lamps otherwise no such changes can be noticed.
Not just the exterior but the interior of the car has also been tweaked a bit. It now sports a complete new central console that has been replaced with a 10-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. The cube shaped ac vents have now been replaced with rectangular shaped vents that look more modern and suit the theme of the cabin.
The gear lever of the automatic gearbox now comes with a toggle switch unit and an updated switchgear. The front passenger seats have also been updated with 15mm additional padding to make it more comfortable and also offers cooling and heating. With few updates inside the cabin, the SUV looks more modern and futuristic.

Talking about the powertrains, the SUV is expected to come equipped with the same specifications that it offers with the existing one. Currently Citroen C5 Aircross is available with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engine that was launched in 2020. The hybrid engine will also be available with the facelift one for sure.
Citroen made its entry in India last year only with its C5 Aircross. The SUV in India is available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. There is a possibility that the carmakers might introduce the facelift version in India as well. Before that the company is planning to launch a made-in-India C3 that will be a petrol car and will compete against the likes of Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Nissan Magnite and other models in its segment.
