Ducati Multistrada V2, Brand's Most Affordable ADV Launched In India

The Italian marquee, Ducati has launched its most affordable adventure tourer, the Multistrada V2 in India at a starting price of Rs 14.65 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Standard version. The higher-spec, 'S' variant, is priced at Rs 16.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with few updates over the existing Multistrada 950 which is available in a single 'S' variant.

The Multistrada V2 features a 937cc Testastretta twin-cylinder engine, which churns out 111.5 bhp of power and 96 Nm of peak torque. The engine is identical to that of the Multistrada 950. The torque output on the new Multistrada V2 has increased from 94 Nm to 96 Nm. Ducati has also reduced the weight of the Multistrada V2, making it 5 kg lighter than the 950.

The regular variant of the Multistrada V2 comes with a fully adjustable 48mm USD fork and mono-shock system, but the 'S' variant gets Ducati's Skyhook electronic suspension. The Ducati Multistrada V2 has twin 320mm front discs and a 265mm rear disc, all with Brembo callipers. The Multistrada V2 sits on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels and it also comes with tubeless wire-spoke rims as an alternative.

Ducati Traction Control, cornering ABS, Vehicle Hold Control, and four riding modes are all part of the motorcycle's electronic system. The Multistrada V2 S also comes with Ducati Cornering Lights and Ducati Quick Shift Up and Down (DQS). The motorcycle has a five-inch colour TFT display in the instrument cluster, cruise control, and backlit handlebar controls, among other amenities.

The new Multistrada V2 will compete with the BMW F900 XR, which costs Rs 12.30 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Triumph Tiger 900 GT, which costs Rs 13.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
