Ducati is a world-renowned motorcycle brand known for its finesse in making beautiful products. Whilst the Indian market is blessed with a variety of Ducati's; the company is adding up newer products soon. Yes, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 naked sports bike is teased on the company's Twitter. The launch is expected within the coming weeks.
This social media post has created a buzz in the auto market of India. Ducati also teased the Scrambler 800 Urban Motard (read here), which is due for launch in the upcoming days. Catering to the mid-weight naked sports market; the Streetfighter seems to be a good choice. It is based on the Ducati Panigale V2 sports bike & carries several features & tech specs from it.

Ducati Streetfighter V2
The design of the Streetfighter has an uncanny resemblance to the Streetfighter V4 naked super sports bike. The headlamp cowl, sculpted fuel tank, and short-tail design, all conclude with similar styling. What's different is the chassis, dimensions, & of course the engine.
This sports bike uses the Panigale's engine & gearbox. This means that it is powered by the Superquadro, a twin-cylinder engine, the same as in the Panigale V2. However, it makes slightly less power and torque than its faired sibling, at 153hp and 101.5Nm respectively. Along with this, it uses a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch function as well.
The feature list will include - Quickshifter, Auto-blipper, aluminum monocoque frame, and fully adjustable SHOWA suspensions. Also, the cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking, three power modes (High, Medium, Low), and three ride modes (Wet, Road and Sport) are being offered. The modes and other settings can be accessed via a 4.3-inch colour TFT cluster.

Launch, Price & Rivals
Anticipating via the social media post by Ducati, the expected launch might be in the coming few weeks. Ducati will launch the Scrambler 800 UM first before the Streetfighter V2 is introduced.
We expect that the pricing will remain upwards of Rs 15 Lakh when launched. Rivals include - Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple RS, & Suzuki GSX-S 1000.
