The idea of a long drive sounds fun, more so when it is planned in a convoy of similar cars, right? Well, this surely happened on 21st December 2019 in North India, when the admins of Ford Ecosport Owners Delhi chapter organized a drive from the capital city to Bhangarh Fort.
BhanGarh Fort is infamous for being one of the most haunted places in India and is located in Alwar district of Rajasthan. This day long road trip saw as many as 26 EcoSport families coming together, thereby keeping the culture of 'family waali feeling' alive and kicking. The drive started from Gurgaon Leisure Valley Park and reached Apno Ghar on NH-8 for breakfast. After the first stop, with winter fog for company, the convoy headed towards the Sariska Jungle
This jungle is home to leopards, wild dogs, jungle cats, hyenas, jackals, tigers, sambar, chital, nilgai, wild boars and langurs. The Sariska Jungle is spread across 800 square kilometres and has several dry deciduous forests, sheer cliffs and grasslands. Some of the roads leading to this place was devoid of tarmac which meant the EcoSports were driven on their natural territory.
After the scenic views of the Sariska Forest, the convoy moved towards the Jungle Camp of Sariska for lunch as we were all hungry since the morning drive. The place offered authentic, traditional Rajasthani meals, a perfect way of filling bellies while being in the state of 'Padharo mere desh'.
The team of admins, Prateek, Sumit, Rohan and Bharat then distributed thank you gifts to the present members and later, tasty cupcakes formed the perfect dessert before resuming their drive to BhanGarh Fort.
The BhanGarh Fort was built in the 17th Century by Bhagwant Das for his younger son, Madho Singh. Upon reaching, the atmosphere was serene and the owners of the Ford Ecosport too enjoyed the fort.
After exploring the place, it was time for some hot dinner at Sunrise Tree House Resort - a 3 Star property. After finishing the delicious meal, it was time to say goodbye to each other and owners greeted each other for a happy and safe journey ahead.
Ford India has been at the forefront to support such customer drives and for this one, they did their part in terms of contributions for the souvenirs. If you are an Ecosport owner and wish to be a part of the online community, head over to their Facebook Page.
